Who says it

The set-up

One channel publishes a four-part series, joined by a playlist, end screens and matching thumbnails, and compares it with the four one-off videos published either side of it.

See this on your own channelVideoCore measures every video against your channel's own normal. Lens does it on any video, free, no account.

What is measured

How long: 4 to 8 weeks

How to read this

Every result on these pages comes from one channel, published by the person who owns it, from their own YouTube Studio. Results are never combined across channels. A handful of videos on one channel is an experiment, not proof.

Test it on your own channel

Tag the parts of your series as group A and the one-off videos either side of it as group B.

VideoCore reads only your channel’s own YouTube Analytics, and only you see it. Comparisons with your typical video are calculated by VideoCore from your YouTube Analytics; they are not YouTube figures.

Do this: run M2 on your channel (you’ll need to be signed in with your channel connected).
